Robert Middleton has more than 30 years of experience in crisis management,
operations management, marketing and banking. He began in business
selling high temperature insulation for Owens-Corning Fiberglas.
Later, he joined Continental Illinois Corporation and spent
13 years in banking holding senior management positions at Continental
Illinois Corporation and Crocker National Bank where he was
actively involved in the restructuring and turnaround efforts
at both organizations. His assignments included commercial lending,
loan administration, risk management, crisis management, acquisition
and divestiture and special assets management.
In 1986, he left banking and founded Middleton & Co., the
predecessor to PMCG. Mr. Middleton provides management and
crisis management consulting to businesses, commercial banks
and other lenders. He acts as a consultant, advisor, principal
and expert for management, shareholders and boards of directors
as well as guarantors, creditors and their advisors. Expert
at restructuring, Mr. Middleton has also been the President,
Chief Operating Officer and director of a number of client
companies while executing their turnarounds. He is a member
and former director of the California Bankruptcy Forum, as
well as a Resolution Advocate for the United States Bankruptcy
Court, Eastern District of California, and a member of Robert
Morris Associates.
Mr. Middleton holds an MBA degree from Washington University
and a BA degree in Economics from the University of Kansas.
Lem Cragholm has been involved in banking and finance since
1972. He started as a commercial lender for a Midwest regional
bank, eventually advancing to head of lending. In 1982, he was
named President of a troubled bank facing insolvency due to
a large number of non-performing loans and mismanagement. Mr.
Cragholm's success in turning around the bank signified the
genesis of his career as a workout manager.
From 1990
to 1995, Mr. Cragholm managed the commercial loan workout
division for Wells Fargo Bank. In 1995, he formed Sierra West
Finance, a company that buys and restructures problem loans,
where he is President and Manager. Sierra West's investor
returns are over 40% IRR cumulative.
Over the years, Mr. Cragholm
has been the responsible decision-maker in the workout and
restructure of literally thousands of transactions. In 1999,
he became a Principal of PMCG.
Mr. Cragholm
holds an MBA degree from the University of Colorado and a
BS degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
